Digital Experience & Positioning for :
ACCESSIBILITY
Our Commitment
At Brand Atelier, we believe great design is design that works for everyone. We are committed to making our website https://www.brandatelier.studio accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technologies.
This statement explains the steps we have taken to make our website accessible, the standards we follow, the tools we provide on the site, the limitations we are aware of, and how you can reach us if something isn't working for you.
Standards We Follow
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the international standard developed by the W3C and adopted in EU legislation, including the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and Greek Law 4727/2020.
These guidelines are organised around four principles. They state that content should be:
-
Perceivable — information must be presented in ways users can perceive (e.g. alternative text for images, sufficient colour contrast)
-
Operable — users must be able to navigate and interact with the interface (e.g. keyboard accessibility, no time traps)
-
Understandable — content and interfaces must be predictable and easy to read
-
Robust — content must work reliably across browsers, devices, and assistive technologies
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard, and we are actively working to improve them.
We carry out internal reviews of our website on a regular basis and address issues as they are identified.
Last internal review: [Date] Method of assessment: Self-evaluation, supported by automated accessibility testing tools and manual checks.
What We've Done
To make our website more accessible, we have worked to ensure that:
-
Text has sufficient colour contrast against its background
-
Images include descriptive alternative text where appropriate
-
The site is navigable using a keyboard
-
Headings and landmarks are used to structure content logically
-
Forms include clear labels and error messages
-
Links and buttons have descriptive, meaningful text
-
The website is responsive and works on a range of screen sizes
-
Content is written in plain, clear language wherever possible
Accessibility Tool on Our Site
Our website includes an accessibility widget powered by AccessEz (developed by EazeApps), available via a dedicated icon on the page. The widget is provided as a supplementary tool to give visitors quick, on-the-fly adjustments to suit their preferences. It is not a substitute for the underlying accessibility of our site, and it is not a guarantee of full WCAG, EAA, or ADA compliance.
Through the widget, visitors can activate features such as:
-
Accessibility profiles for low vision, dyslexia, seizure-safe browsing, and more
-
Contrast adjustments (light, dark, and high-contrast modes)
-
Text adjustments — size, spacing, alignment, and font
-
Link and title highlighting for easier scanning
-
Text-to-speech for reading content aloud
-
Larger cursor and other navigation aids
-
Pause animations / reduce motion
How to use it
Look for the accessibility icon on the side of any page on our site (it appears as a small button overlaid on the screen). Click or tap it to open the widget, then choose the profile or adjustment that suits you. Your preferences will apply across the site for the duration of your visit.
Important note
Some users — particularly those who rely on dedicated assistive technology like screen readers — may prefer not to use the widget, as their own software already handles many of these adjustments and overlay tools can occasionally interfere with how it works. If that's you, you can simply ignore the widget; the rest of the site is designed to work directly with your assistive technology.
Compatibility
Our website is designed to work with the latest versions of the following browsers and assistive technologies:
-
Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge
-
Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), TalkBack (Android)
-
Operating systems: Windows 10+, macOS, iOS, Android
We recommend using the most recent version of your browser and assistive technology for the best experience.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
-
Portfolio imagery: Some case study images may have brief or generic alt text. We are reviewing our portfolio to provide more descriptive alternatives.
-
Embedded third-party content: Videos, embeds, or social media widgets from third-party providers may not fully meet WCAG criteria, as we do not control their underlying code.
-
Decorative animations: Certain motion or animation effects on the site may not be pausable from within the page itself. The accessibility widget offers a "reduce motion" option, and users can also enable "Reduce Motion" in their operating system settings.
-
Older content: Older blog posts, articles, or downloadable files (e.g. PDFs) may not meet current accessibility standards. We address these on request and prioritise them in updates.
-
Third-party tools: The accessibility widget itself is a third-party product, and while we have configured it as best we can, its behaviour and conformance are ultimately maintained by its provider.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier that is not listed here, please let us know — see the next section.

Accessibility in Our Design Work
Beyond our own website, accessibility is something we care about in the work we deliver to clients. Where the project scope and budget allow, we design with WCAG principles in mind — considering colour contrast, typography, semantic structure, and inclusive language from the start.
If you'd like to discuss accessibility considerations for a project, get in touch.
Updates to This Statement
This statement is reviewed and updated periodically. Significant changes to the website, the accessibility widget, or to the accessibility standards we follow will be reflected here, with the "Last reviewed" date updated accordingly.
